About Me

My Therapeutic Methods

My approach is tailored to each person I work with. I draw from different styles of therapy depending on what feels most supportive for you. Our work may include tuning into your body and emotions, exploring the different parts of yourself, practicing mindfulness, deepening your personal story, and learning new ways to navigate difficult thoughts or feelings.

These tools help calm the nervous system, support emotional healing, and foster a deeper connection to yourself.

Alongside traditional therapy, I integrate grounding practices, invite moments of presence and joy, and make room for curiosity and play.

My work is collaborative and client-centered, with an emphasis on empowerment, awareness, and sustainable change. Together, we’ll strengthen self-awareness, build resilience, and help you make choices that feel more connected to your values and who you are becoming.

About Me

Hi, I’m April, an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist based in San Francisco.

I became a therapist because my own experience in therapy completely changed my life. My therapist helped me through the loss of several family members, supported me through painful family dynamics, and guided me toward a deeper understanding of who I am and what I want from life.

When I first started therapy, I felt lost, disconnected from meaning, and unsure of my purpose. Over time, I learned that what I wanted most was to help others through their own challenges. I remember thinking that if I could support even one person the way my therapist supported me, I would be living a life full of meaning.

Since becoming a therapist, my life has been filled with purpose and joy. I am passionate about helping my clients experience less suffering, be gentle with themselves, slow down, and meet each moment and each feeling with presence and compassion.

Before entering this field, I spent 13+ years working in the tech industry as a product manager. I understand how easy it is to get caught in cycles of stress, perfectionism, and burnout in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.

When I am not in session, you can find me in nature, working on art projects, cooking, watching reality TV, traveling, or spending quiet moments with the people I love.
